10:11 pm - First try on a Kaossilator mix I planned the first 90 seconds or so, then realized how short it was, so I began to just mess around. Oh well. Here is my first attempt at being creative. I remixed the Temple music from Super Mario Land. Comments? Suggestions? 11:01 pm - GTA4 review Game is fun. Better than Vice City which I thought was the best till now. So much to do it hurts my head. I start trying to drive to a bar to play some darts and 3 people call me asking me to do a mission for them. Only complaint so far after 6 hours of play: No one speaks clear english without an accent. I had to turn on subtitles. Even with them, half of what people said made NO SENSE AT ALL... 11:12 pm - Mario Kart Wii The Wii Wheel is absolutely useless.. Remote and nunchuk combo is great. Game is so-so. I had higher expectations since I LOVED mario kart DS.. This is not as good. 10:40 pm - Wow So I picked up FF6 Advance and have been playing it alot lately... I got to the Opera part.. They changed the words ALOT. While they were actually smart enough to match the music with words this time around, it still kind of made me go 'meh' cause of the fact that I had memorized the old english lyrics and thought they were pretty nice. The new lyrics are just as good if not better, but in buying a game for the whole nastalgia purpose, alot really has changed in this game. I still look forward to seeing what else is different though. So far most of the changes are for the better (except that they made stuff easier IMO) and this time around they didnt have "space restrictions" for item names, etc. It is nice to not steal "Fenix Down"s from enemies =D Current Mood: indifferent Current Music: Final Fantasy VI Advance OSV - Aria De Mezzo Carattere Tags: video games

11:28 pm - your car asplode!!!!!!!! Well on Jan 29th 2007 my car officially ASPLOD'ed... details ahead: I was driving to work that morning thinking "wow, i am going to get to work early today..................." after about 10 min i started overheating and pulled off to the side. Within 5 minutes a CHP tow truck arrived and gave me some water for my engine/radiator stuffs.. i had no idea what was going on, but my car temp thing went back to normal. I got to work and decided that i would't even try to drive home in traffic so i stayed at work and played WoW till about 8:30pm... On my way home i called my brother to tell him that I had car trouble in the morning and that I would love it if he could help me get a new car sometime that week. While i was on the phone with him on my way home, my car started overheating again and i freaked out. The next thing that happened will forever be a testament to how shitty life (and cars) can be.. my car asploded... Spoke suddenly filled my car as i approached an exit (fremont ave in sunnyvale/los altos) and i quicly pulled off the freeway and coasted into the first parking lot i could find. i parked there while i on teh phone with my brother in hopes that he could pick me up and save me from this stupid incodent. 25 min later when my brother picked me up, i cried that my car actually died =[ My mom let me borrow her car to go back to my car and pick up anything i left in ther that was important. As i arrived to my car i noticed that there was security in this parking lot already ready to ticket my car for being there without a permit. I told him that i was going to have it towed in the morning and he didnt seem to be happy with me so i told him that i would tow it that night. After emptying out my car and dropping off all that shit at home, i had my sister use her AAA (lol get it?) towing privledge to get my car back to my workplace which was only about 4 miles away. So there my car lies... The next 2 weeks could only be described as awful.. looking for a car, having to borrow cars and hitch rides to work, public transportation =[ etc.. but i made it through it all and decided that what i wanted was a BRAND NEW CAR.. none of this used car bullshit that i had gone through in the past. So.. here is what i got... Honda Civic LX 4 door 2007 Yea... That's right... I bought a BRAND NEW CAR... =D i love it =D did i mention i love it? =D =D=D=D=D =D Ok so now that i spent my life savings on a car, i can get back to life. and my WoW addiction... and etc.. and man i love my new car... 12:20 pm - Tales of Phantasia for GBA One of my favorite games I ever played for my SNES emulator was Tales of Phantasia. So of course when I heard they were making a GBA port of it, I jumped up and down for joy. I picked it up a few days ago. First Impressions: When I first booted it up, I felt like something was wrong. I couldn't quite put my finger on it. As I began to watch the intro, I was HORRIFIED to find out they did not re-licence Yume-wa Owaranai for the opening credits music =[ Not only that, the entire intro seemed SLOW. As in, FPS slow. Hmm.. ok whatever, I'll finish watching it later, but this is just taking too long for now. So I skipped past the intro to check out what songs they DID keep and found out there is no jukebox like there was in the japo SNES version. MEH ok whatever, lets start the game. Once again, things seemed... slow. FPS was dragging and it just didnt seem right. Well ok. I really wanna start playing so ignore all this stuff. Game begins and im walking around town, relieved to hear that the music was the same. The game at this point is going really FAST. Im running around town super speed like, very much alike of the original, well, lets go get into a battle. Battle seemed to drag a little, but it wasnt too terrible. It felt a bit different from what I remember, but I didn't mind it. Once I killed the last mob in battle, the game once again did its dragging FPS. Waiting 3 seconds for a few frames of animation is stupid. I understand the dramatic effect of it, but its choppy and just not easy on the eyes. Oh well. I have played for about 2 hours now. I am beginning to get used to how slow it is, it's not as bad as I first thought when I started. Only time will tell if I will have the patience to continue the game through to the end. But I just really hope nothing important or game defining was left out.. like the intro =[ Current Mood: okay Tags: video games
